You want to feel confident about your appearance.
So do we.
OWNER AND LEAD STYLIST
My professional career began as an apprentice. I decided to further my education in cosmetology and attended Vici Aveda Institute in Milwaukee, WI. Since then I’ve attended fashion week in New York City where I worked with Jon Reyman on hair for runway models.
Using my experience, and love for fashion, I decided to start my own business with the goal to keep it small and familiar. Using my vision and style I enjoy translating high fashion hairstyles into everyday life.
When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my husband, chasing after our three boys, cooking, running, and practicing yoga.
“Do small things with great love." –Mother Teresa
I have been in the hair industry for the past 15 years. I have a devotion to my guests which allows me to build a special relationship with each and every one of them. I take my time to listen to people's ideas, desires, and needs for their hair, with the goal to achieve it. I pride myself on making people feel good about their appearance. I specialize in men's haircuts and have a passion for hair color and the great change it can bring. I believe a person's hair brings their self-image into focus.
I am outgoing, spunky, and I am a bighearted person trapped in a small body. I like to make people smile and laugh and enjoy listening and getting to know more people, their families, and all of the journeys they have had in life.
"A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman, but a beautiful woman with a brain is an absolutely lethal combination." –Prabal Gurung
I’ve been determined to be a hairstylist since I was little. I decided to be in the beauty industry because I enjoy making people feel great about themselves. As a stylist I’m excited to be learning more about what I love. I want to specialize in hair color because I believe it can make a dramatic difference in a person’s image. I strive to make a difference in peoples lives and want to do so throughout my career.
In my free time I like to be spontaneous. I like trying new things, and expanding my knowledge on life. I’m a very cheerful and easygoing person, and I love bringing out the best in people.
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” –Albert Schweitzer
I was born just outside of Los Angeles, and moved to Las Vegas as a teenager. As a young single mother, I was working as a salon receptionist. On my days off, I would use my friends as guinea pigs to try and recreate the styles I saw being created in the salon. As I was standing over a friends sink rinsing color from her hair, I realized doing hair was my passion, and my calling. Two years later, I graduated from The Aveda Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Working in the wedding capitol of the world, I not only had the opportunity to work with over one hundred brides, I maintained a diverse clientele. While special occasion hair and makeup will always be a passion of mine, creating a new look for someone to wear everyday is why I do what I do. To transform someones appearance with hair color, extensions, or a great cut, is a reward because they're putting their trust in me.
When I am not behind the chair, I enjoy spending time with my kids and husband. I am also an avid cook, dog lover and fiber artist. My hobbies include crocheting and spinning (wool into yarn- yes people still do that).
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” –Booker T. Washington
Being a hair and makeup artist did not occur to me until I found myself working in a factory, filling toner in cardboard boxes for eight hours a day. It was then that I got the idea to really pursue something I wanted to do in life. This blessing in disguise is where and when my beauty story starts.
After fives years of doing hair and makeup, it still feels like a dream. I enjoy coming to work and seeing my regulars as well as meeting new people everyday. I have found a love for balayage (hand-painted free-styled highlights) and soft, lived-in haircuts. My main squeeze has always been makeup and I enjoy it on those hectic but fun wedding days. My true passion lies in education, whether it is taking classes or teaching, I am constantly learning.
I love meeting new people and having one-on-one time to customize the best look for my clients. It is very rare to have a job where it's intimate, hands-on, and very personal. I take my role very seriously while having fun. Our industry is dynamic, forever-changing, evolving, cycling, and so should our hair!
On my off time, I might be spotted working a second job or catch me flying out of here on my next travel adventure!
“The only place where success comes before work is in a dictionary.” –Vidal Sassoon
Over the past ten years I have explored many positions within the hair industry. I started at The Institute of Beauty and Wellness in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since graduating, I have worked as a stylist and as an educator. I have been to New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas to attend classes and assist other educators.
I am a creative individual that takes a structured approach to creating a look. I believe that if you love what you do, others will see it and want to be a part of it. Every guest should leave the chair feeling like they can conquer the world with confidence and ease.
Besides hair, I love to camp, hike, play sports and spend time with my dogs.
"The artist is not a special kind of person; rather each person is a special kind of artist." –Ananda Coomaraswany
I've aspired to be a cosmetologist ever since I was young. To me the beauty industry is about acceptance, self-expression, and working to your full potential. These are qualities that I believe represent myself and can always be improved. I love making people feel comfortable in their own skin whether it’s enhancing a client's fabulous cheekbones with some bronzer, or changing up their hairstyle to compliment their flawless complexion. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and that is my mission
“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." -Marilyn Monroe
